At present, the Cambodian government makes little provision for an English curriculum in its primary schools. We believe that learning a new language should start at an early age; ABOUTAsia Schools English Program provides this English curriculum for students aged 6 to 14 years, during the formative years of language ability.
We currently employ full-time Cambodian English teachers who teach 50 free English classes daily, and supply curriculum textbooks and assessments to all the children on our program. At the end of the program, students have the opportunity to sit a paper from the Cambridge ESOL General for Schools Exams, to measure their aptitude against the Common European Framework.
With the tourism industry dominating employment opportunities here in Siem Reap, learning English from a young age is key to future job prospects in the town. It is a ticket to a more prosperous and opportunity-rich life.
